DIY: Movie Night

All this talk of movies has made us nostalgic. One of our most fun friendaversary celebrations was the time we departed from our traditional tortas and had a movie night. Because we lived a few hours apart, at the time it just made sense to have a slumber party. Our feature presentation was #4 on Mary’s list, Mamma Mia. Here are some ideas so you can plan the perfect movie friendaversary.

1.       Pick a movie. If you need some ideas refer back to our top 10 list or choose a movie that has significance to you and your friend.
2.       Plan a menu ahead of time. If you really want to go that extra step have a theme based on your chosen movie. Or you can use our fabulous popcorn recipe below.
3.       Drinks! Build upon your theme by creating a signature cocktail. A drink we love that you could totally adapt to suit your night is the tea-tini. Check out our recipe with some great modification ideas.
4.       Remember, the purpose of a friendaversary is to celebrate your years together so take some time to reminisce by looking at some old pictures or reading old Facebook messages. It’s pretty much guaranteed to get you laughing.

Hope these ideas helped you to plan the perfect movie friendaversary celebration. Leave us a comment to let us know what your favorite movie snack is so we can try it out on our next movie night!!!
